We’re pleased (and somewhat nervous) to announce that Team APH is taking on the Born Survivor challenge at Capesthorne Hall on 16th May 2026.
If you haven’t heard of it, Born Survivor is one of the UK’s most challenging obstacle course events. Think 10 kilometres of rolling Cheshire countryside and open water landscapes – sounds lovely, right? Then add to that over 30 military-standard obstacles designed to test your strength, stamina and determination (yep, it’s hard core).
We’re always up for a challenge though, and this event definitely will be. We have seven brave members of our team who have signed up to take part:
- Paul – Chief Instigator & Regret Manager (“seemed like a good idea at the time” department)
- Carla – Operations Commander & Voice of Reason (occasionally ignored)
- Matt – Head of Overconfidence & Mud Acquisition, alongside his equally brave partner Abbey – Moral Support & Sanity Supervisor
- Dan – Logistics Lead & Excuse Auditor (none accepted)
- Dave – Health & Safety (Unofficial) & Risk Taker in Chief
- Mike – Head of Motivation & Mid-Race Negotiations
With obstacles including Son of a Ditch, Devil’s Dyke, Flame Thrower, Cliff Hanger and The Torpedo, we know it’s going to be tough – but we’ll get there!
We’ll be sharing updates on our training progress (or lack thereof!), behind-the-scenes moments, and of course, plenty of photos from the big day itself.
Expect mud. Expect chaos. But with our team’s usual focus, determination and support, you can also expect us to cross that finish line together.
Wish us luck – we’re going to need it!
